Showing up somewhere you've never been and meeting people you've never meet? Awkward.

We get that.

But we try to do our best to make you feel like you belong. So here are some things you can expect to see on a Sunday night:

As soon as you arrive we'll have someone by the door to greet you. If it's your first time they'll ask you to fill out a connection card -- don't worry, we won't show up to your house. Just want to make sure we can stay connected! If you have any questions, this is the person to ask. They'll let you know where you need to go.

When you come into the youth room know this: it's all for you! The chips, Oreos, and Mt. Dew? Yep. The ping pong and air hockey tables? Yep. The carpet ball table? Oh, you haven't heard of carpet ball? We'll fill you in real quick! And yes, that's for you too!

We purposely build in time for you to hang out, so don't be shy. We want you to make new friends. Life is too hard to do alone! So show up early and stay a little late -- it's cool with us.

During the night we will sing a few songs, play an off-the-wall game, and hear a message that deals with the stuff you face everyday. We want you to be prepared for what you have to face when you hit the doors to your school on Monday morning. Life's real, and sometimes it gets crazy. We don't deny that. We want to talk about it.

We also do something called "Check Points". This is brand new to our ministry this year and we are so excited about it. We'll break down into smaller groups and have an adult leader or two there to meet with you, get to know you, and pray with you.

That Chem test on Thursday? Let's pray about it. Your boyfriend's a jerk? Let's pray about that too. Big game this Friday? Prayer time! Have a big decision to make? We want to pray with you! Check Points give you an opportunity to open up, tear down walls, and team up with people who care about you!

Sometimes things get a little crazy, but it's part of who we are. We're convinced that living for Jesus is better than anything on this planet. Come find out for yourself!
